4대째 기도교 집안에서 태어나 어린 시절부터 주일학교를 다니며 여의도순복음교회와 깊은 인연을 맺어 왔다. 연세대학교 및 한세대학교, 연합신학대학원을 졸업하고 미국 웨스트민스터 신학대학원 석사과정을 수료한 후 미국 템플대학교에서 교회사 종교철학석사(M.A.) 및 종교철학박사 학위(Ph.D.)를 받았다.
미국 워싱턴순복음제일교회, 일본 순복음동경교회, 미국 LA 나성순복음교회를 담임했으며, 국제신학연구원 원장, 한세대학교 교수, 미국 베데스다대학교 총장, 여의도순복음교회 교무담당 부목사 등을 역임했고, 대외적으로는 한국기독교총연합회(CCK) 공동회장과 한국기독교교회협의회(NCCK) 회장 등을 역임했다.

About Rev. Dr Younghoon Lee
He was born in a fourth generation Christian family and has been developing a profound relationship with Yoido Full Gospel Church since his childhood when he started attending Sunday school. He graduated from Yonsei University, Hansei University and United Graduate School of Theology at Yonsei University in Korea. He completed his master's course work at Westminster's degree in philosophy of religion and a PhD.degree in religion from Temple University on the United States.
He has been the senior pastor at Full Gospel First Church of Washington, at Ful Gospel Tokyo Church and at Full Gospel L.A. Church He has also been the director of the International Theological Institute, a professor at Hansei University, the President of Bethesda University of Claifornia, and the executive pstor fo Yoido Full Gospel Church. Beyond the boundary of his own church affiliation, he has been the president of The Christian Council of Korea(C.C.K.) and The National Council of Churches in Korea(N.C.C.K.).
